What is poker?

Poker is a card game that uses skill and luck at its foundations and where you need to bet against other players or the dealer, hoping you have a stronger hand than they do. Each player then has to raise, equal (call or match) or drop out (fold or concede) according to what they think the value of their and their opponent’s cards are. The player holding the highest value cards at the end of the betting wins the pot. Poker can be played with 2 to 14 players at a time.
